To support the Plant Manager, Office Manager and Material Manager and facility by performing a number of general Purchasing duties. Must have advanced data entry knowledge with Excel spreadsheets, Purchasing and Inventory.
Duties and Responsibilities
Generate purchase orders from material requisitions, order material from vendors, track orders and resolve any issues.
Request and enter new part numbers.
Cost coding and tracking for projects.
Quarterly In-Transit reporting.
Inventory, including preparation, count verification, entry, posting and reconciliation.
Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with questions.
Data collection/reporting for Air Consumption and Usage Reporting based on State of Washington Clean Air Act requirements.
Assists in processing accounts payable and receivable.
Cross-train to provide payroll back up as needed.
Other duties and projects as required and assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency at an Intermediate level in a variety of computer software applications including Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook. Kronos helpful.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality.
Knowledge of office administration procedures.
Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Good to excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
General knowledge of accounting and payroll functions.
Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organization skills.
Ability to manage a variety of tasks at the same time.
Education and Experience
A High School Diploma or GED required.
Prefer at least a two-year degree in business or related field.
Work in a manufacturing environment is helpful.
