SUMMARY
To conduct preventative and corrective repairs to the production equipment and facilities, buildings and grounds and associated systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are typical for this role. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
Direct and Perform repairs on Overhead Bridge Cranes, Jib Hoists, Press Brakes, Shears various Piping Systems throughout the facility with little or no supervision in accordance with service manuals and manufacturer's specifications
Safely operate various Ariel man lifts and scissor lifts during the repair process
Perform data entry of all repairs and servicing
Order parts by using technical manuals and catalogs
Must be able to reset all 7 different styles of fire suppression systems within 90 days of employment
Must become certified in both Shielded Metal Arc Welding and Flux Core welding through company's Weld Tech program within 6 months of employment
Must maintain the following certifications Current Fire extinguisher License, Gunderson Powered Industrial Lift Truck Certification
Must have completed requirements for the Maintenance Helper and "B" mechanic requirements
Work under the guidance of a Lead person or Foreman
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The following generally describes requirements to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period to successfully perform the assigned duties.
Must provide own tools
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to use equipment such as hoists, cranes, forklifts, woodworking, metalworking equipment, and power and hand tools in a safe manner
Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to use a tape measure
Ability to understand and comply with all parts ordering and issuing procedures
Must be able to train and mentor a Maintenance "B" Mechanic, Maintenance Helper as well as other Maintenance Crewmembers
Basic understanding of MS Office products with the ability to utilize facilities computer-based maintenance management system
Experience and Education
Valid Driver License
Minimum of 4 years of industrial maintenance experience in the following areas: pneumatics, hydraulics, building maintenance, internal combustion engines (gas and diesel) and heavy steel fabrication

Working Conditions
