The Human Resources Manager will lead the Human Resources function within the plant to include recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, leave, performance management and employee relations to ensure that the plant maintains a positive and safe work environment. Partners with the Plant Manager and leadership team to develop and implement programs, processes, or actions to drive employee engagement and retention.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are typical for this classification. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
Recruitment, onboarding, rollout of training, safety/accident prevention, employee relations, affirmative action, compensation and employee benefit programs.
Partner with operational leadership on development of project implementations, planning/scheduling, resource requirements, and deployment/allocation of resources
Ability to establish rapport and credibility with employees and leadership
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
Be a champion of IDEAL, our diversity, inclusion and equity initiative
Ownership of performance management and employee leave programs
Guide managers to resolve issues as well as advise on disciplinary actions
Conducts timely and apprpriate investigations when workplace issues arise
Participate in accident and/or incident investigations and assist with the modification and/or new development of safety policies and procedures
*In collaboration with corporate and other human resources unit leaders across the company, be accountable for deploying company policies, initiatives, performance management, benefits, wellness, and employee development
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, conflict resolution and employee counseling capabilities
Knowledge of federal and state labor employment laws and regulatory compliance
Ability to use good judgement to escalate HR concerns to management as appropriate
Maintains confidentiality and exercises good judgment with sensitive information
Ability to speak to groups and give presentations to all levels of the company
Familiar with Industrial safety and Workers compensation
Experience and Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required
7 years of human resource experience with progressive growth (recruitment, training/development, performance management, employee relations, payroll and benefits) 3 years in a senior level HR role.
Experience within Manufacturing is required
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, power point and familiarity with HRIS systems
