Assist other crew members in department assignments. Retrieve tools, parts and supplies. Order parts and supplies when needed. Perform repetitive inspections and repairs. Clean assigned work areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ordering of parts
Clean assigned work areas
Perform monthly inspections of work area
Filling out log books and communicating to other departments
Run sweeper and backpack blower to sweep all roadways plant-wide
Repair and change tires on industrial trucks, carts, wheelbarrows and bicycles
Assist maintenance personnel in completion of maintenance and repair duties
Will be trained in fall protection, lockout tagout and confined space.

Ability to work in a safe and professional manner
Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to communicate effectively as a member of a team
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong worth ethic, flexible, reliable, and punctual
Education and Experience
No license required
GED or High School Diploma helpful, but not required
Experience working in a shop around noise, dust, and all types of weather
Manufacturing experience a plus

Ability to carry/lift a maximum of 20lbs occasionally and push/pull a maximum of 50lbs occasionally; stoop, bend, climb, kneel occasionally; stand or walk frequently; operate motorized vehicles and equipment.
Work overtime as required (varies, may require some weekend days)
Work around traffic and heavy manufacturing equipment
Must have the ability to enter and move through manway and tank openings
Work at heights on scaffolding and ladders, in dim-lit areas, on slippery or uneven surfaces
Exposure to heat, cold, noise, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, toxic chemicals, and inclement weather conditions
Work in confined space
