SUMMARY
Construct, install and remove ring pole scaffolding, wooden plank & bracket scaffolding, and walkways. Perform all Marine Carpentry duties under the direction of Gunderson Marine supervisory personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are typical for this role. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
Prepare scaffolding packages needed for different assemblies
Work as a team to accomplish various carpentry tasks
Fabricate wooden ladders, boxes, stairs, and various wooden assemblies
Build and disassemble structures and fixtures of wood and plywood using carpenters hand tools and power tools
Select specified type of lumber or other materials accordingly
Erects framework for structures including scaffolding, cradles, gangways, and staging accordingly
Must complete fall protection and confined space training
Follow and adhere strictly to Gunderson's safety policies and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to use the following equipment: level, square, rule, calipers, saws, chisels and planes, plumb bob, carpenters level, various hammers, and power tools, timbers, sledgehammers, and other measuring instruments
Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to communicate effectively as a member of a team
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong worth ethic, flexible, reliable, and punctual
Experience and Education
Proven carpentry experience
Scaffolding experience a plus

Work at heights on scaffolding and ladders, in dim-lit areas, on slippery or uneven surfaces
Exposure to heat, cold, noise, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, toxic chemicals, and inclement weather conditions.
Work in confined space.
