This unique position provides support to the Accounts Receivable Departments for GMO and Gunderson LLC activities. At times, this position could act as a backup to other accouting roles within similar scope of duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
Trained as backup for AR Coordinator and Lead
AR Invoicing for GMO entities: Greenbrier-Concarril, Greenbrier-GIMSA and Gunderson, LLC
Prepare invoices for Intercompany Sales between Entities, monthly weld wire transactions, and one-off invoices as needed
Enter cash receipts, post non-cash transactions, and balance month-end cash/non0cash transactions for all three manufacturing facilities
Audit posted AR DAX invoices have been uploaded to SharePoint correctly
Cash forecast (AR portion)
Month-end AR reconciliations
Train new employees and be a source of knowlede to others regarding AR processes
Other accounting tasks as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The following generally describes requirements to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period to successfully perform the assigned duties.
5 years combined accounts receivable (AR) and general leger (GL) experience, preferably manufacturing including:
G/L: Debit & Credit Activity, Customer Invoicing & A/R Postings, Journal Entries
General: SOX Compliance Experience, Strong Analytical Skills, Meticulous, High Accuracy
Proficient with integrated ERP systems (MS Dax preferred). MS Office - Intermediate skill level required, with strong emphasis on MS Excel
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate well across organizations
*Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred but not required
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Buisiness Administration, or related field preferred
