The position is directly responsible for the customer billing and accounts receivable functions for a medium-sized manufacturing concern. The applicant needs to be familiar with all aspects of a full cycle accounting process, be able to enforce established procedures, analyze, and verify internal records to ensure accurate financial reporting. Secondary duties will include various administrative functions, special projects, and periodic back up of existing staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities are listed below. Other duties may be assigned.
Process accounts receivable invoicing, credit memos, and statements.
Monitor daily cash and perform collection procedures for past due items.
Limited journal entry preparation.
Assist in month-end closing process.
Various report preparation and account analysis.
Research and resolution of accounting related variances.
Assist management staff and existing members of the accounting department.
Any other duties as assigned (filing / special projects).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications: Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Experience with accounting ERP systems (SysPro preferred).
Intermediate accounting and analytical skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality.
Establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organization skills.
Ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Ability to interpret financial statements.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma required AA degree in Accounting preferred.
No previous experience required but up to two years of previous experience preferred.
