Job Summary & Essential Functions: The Inspection Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and guidance for shop employees in a manufacturing environment. Analyzes inspection data will report to the Operations Manager to correct quality issues. Serve as a proactive member of the management team; provide input on decisions that affect facility operations and others. Act as a key partner with an indirect reporting relationship to the General Manager of Southwest Steel Casting Company LLC. Participate in the development and implementation of all safety and human resources policies, programs, and services to include: recruitment, selection, retention, legal compliance, employee relations, employment practices and procedures, employee communications and employee events. Foster a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission outlined by the leadership of the company.

Resolve employee issues through effective problem solving. Balance quality, productivity, cost and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work continuously to impove in all areas. Manage departmental performance measures, including all NDT requirements Perform accident investigations working in conjunction with management Manage department priorities. Track employee attendance using SAP and daily calendar score card Maintain all departmental ISO, AAR standards and Quality Certification Requirements Responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to purchased material, in-process material and finished products to assure that quality control standards and achieved. Plan and assign work of subordinates.

Responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records. Report all quality defects and trends to the Production Management Teams. Performs other various duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications: Leadership skills--people management, meeting facilitation, presentation, and customer support. Demonstrated ability to communicate with employees and project company image to attract and retain employees. Negotiation and conflict management skills together with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving . Intermediate level of computer skills in email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SAP experience a plus. Must have excellent written and verbal skills to interact with people at all levels and functions inside and outside Southwest Steel Casting Company LLC. Organization skills are required, with emphasis on attention to detail. Lean/5S Training required and provided as necessary.

Ability to read and interperate blueprints, x-ray film, and UT reports. Occasional travel will be required including air travel. Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members.

Experience/Education/Training/Certifications: Associate's degree in Applied Science or Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a production environment, including supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; must have a firm grasp of ISO.
