This position reports to the Tax Manager and will be primarily be responsible for preparing income tax provisions and returns. It will also be responsible for researching issues and managing examinations relating to those returns.
Prepare income tax returns including consolidated federal and state returns.
Analyze general ledger accounts for items of tax significance.
Manage fixed asset tax accounting.
Assist in preparation of income tax provision.
Research income tax issues.
Perform other tasks as required to support the tax function of the Company.
Education and/or experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, equivalent experience will be considered.
Certified Public Accountant certification preferred.
Experience in corporate tax preferred.
Experience with fixed asset accounting software preferred.
Experience with income tax compliance software preferred.
Candidate must have the ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing, with Company personnel and with external consultants and taxing authorities.
Candidate must have good analytical and interpersonal skills and must be able to work under deadlines and pressure.
