As Senior Financial Analyst, you will work closely with the Senior Vice President, Finance and be part of a collaborative team involved in many facets of rail equipment leasing and finance. We are strategically growing a diversified lease fleet of railcars which includes originating lease transactions for new railcars we purchase, purchasing existing railcar lease portfolios from other owners and developing capital structures and equipment financings. Your primary focus will be constructing, developing, and maintaining financial models to reflect the transactions in which we are involved. These complex financial models will be used by Greenbrier and in investor and rating agency presentations, making investment decisions, forecasting and operational analysis and performing asset management responsibilities. You will also be a key person is setting and tracking business metrics and return on equity targets.
Develop and maintain financial models to support rail equipment leasing businesses investment, structured financings, and securitizations.
Support the analysis of leased asset portfolios for acquisitions, financial reporting and forecasting, and asset management.
Develop and track business metrics and return on equity targets as well as suggesting activities that can improve our performance.
Prepare and update Investor, Ratings Agency, and Board of Directors presentations.
Support financial planning and analysis processes for portfolio businesses.
Perform ad-hoc analysis on rail leasing businesses and financial markets.
Maintain rail equipment leasing database for securitization.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or economics required. Master's degree a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a quantitative or system analytics-based function required.
At least 2 years of recent Capital Markets/Treasury experience preferred.
Advanced MS Excel skills required. Strong database management and system querying knowledge required with experience using SQL and SAS.
Knowledge of financial markets required. Securitization and capital markets experience strongly preferred.
Ability to work in a highly time-sensitive, dynamic, and growing environment with superb time management and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
Solid work ethic, team spirit and dedication to excellence are essential.
Equipment finance or banking industry experience is strongly preferred.
