The Salesforce Product Owner works closely with internal business stakeholders including Sales Support, Sales, and Marketing to maximize the value of the platform based on business operational needs. This role owns the product vision and roadmap. The Salesforce Product Owner is a hands-on role. The role partners with the business to understand business needs, document process improvements, prioritize work and execute configuration changes in the Salesforce and related tools. Our projects include developing advanced processes and business intelligence solutions that enrich the user experience.
The ideal candidate is a solution-oriented, collaborative person with a business or automation background; a person who has worked in a business related function or worked closely with Sales and Marketing teams in a consulting capacity. Focus on data and process in a customer-centric approach is essential. The role demands a collaborative approach to define best-fit solutions.
This Salesforce Product Owner will be the Greenbrier Salesforce subject-matter expert for over eighty users, to promote adoption, keep current on new releases and AppExchange solutions, provide training, and improve processes and productivity.
Act as day-to-day primary contact for Salesforce and related operational aspects; the objective of this is to focus on building strong relationships and understanding internal stakeholders' business model and processes.
Document business and functional requirements for Salesforce apps including requirements backlog and process repository.
Develop and analyze business requirements acting as an internal consultant to the business across Marketing, Sales Support, Commercial/Sales teams and other departments using Salesforce.
Propose process automation solutions to meet business operational needs.
Leverage a solid understanding and experience with Salesforce product suite to validate design options and present proposed process automation, solution designs and implementation.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architect, business stakeholders, and IT Business Analyst Lead to ensure that the integration, security, analytics and other technical consideration fit into our environment.
Perform administration and configuration tasks with the assistance from external resources when needed. Our eco-system around Salesforce includes CPQ, ZoomInfo, Conga, OwnBackup, , Pardot, Dayback, DLRS, Cloud 4J, GeoPointe, Dataloader, etc.). Activities include creating/managing customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validations, workflow and approval rules, visual force pages, and triggers
Work with Marketing on marketing automation and optimize Pardot to support new business needs.
Manage security; user roles and profiles, security settings, access settings, etc. with User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules and Security. Develop and maintain a disciplined process of approvals for changes
Create advanced reports, dashboards, and leverage business analytics tools including PowerBI to analyze Salesforce data to provide real time insights into the business
Proactively seek out ways to enhance Salesforce, improve processes and the end-user experience, leveraging declarative platform features to develop solutions and new functionality
Communicate regularly with users; new features, upcoming changes, user stories, tips and tricks to optimize the use of Salesforce
Create and administer training, in person and remotely through classes or one-one sessions. Ensure feedback loop to assess effectiveness.
Provide user support including leveraging our premier support with Salesforce, and our IT Help Desk Support
Manage new Salesforce releases including planning, conducting effective testing, and deploying change sets to production
Manage user licenses working with CIO and stakeholders following our approval process
Monitor and improve data quality to support data integrity

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience working with Sales and Marketing
Minimum of 3 -- 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role with hands-on Salesforce.com focus including experience with CPQ, Conga, Pardot or equivalent and other related automation tools/products.
Experience with process automation and operational projects with a focus on Marketing and Sales requirements.
Experience conducting training sessions at all level of the organization
Ability to quickly grasp and evaluate new ideas and technologies to address business needs
Excellent follow-through and collaboration skills
Self-motivated team player who has fresh ideas and thrives off customer and team success.
Salesforce Admin Certification (Advanced Preferred).
Experience integrating Salesforce with other systems to maximize business value
Excellent oral and written communication skills and a proven ability to work in multi-cultural, cross functional/matrix organizations, with the ability to communicate on both a technical & non-technical level including articulating business value
Occasional domestic overnight travel will be required
