The Greenbrier Companies is seeking a Rail Logistics Coordinator . This position will assist the logistics team in managing rail shipments and equipment to ensure timely delivery and maintain an efficient supply chain for various clients and shippers. The position is located in Lake Oswego, OR.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily management and coordination of rail shipments

  • Track and trace all shipments

  • Update and maintain Transportation Management System(s)

  • Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solution

  • Works closely with rail providers to assure efficient and effective execution of defined processes and goods transportation

  • Re-route freight as needed to meet demands and minimize costs

  • Provide support to other Logistics Teams as needed & interact with other departments to respond to their needs

  • Creation and maintain daily, weekly and monthly statistics

  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned by the Manager

  • Ability to provide 24 hour response

  • Responds to and log all shipment issues for communication to the client

  • Provides regular written status reports to management and clients

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience

  • On-Call responsibility for after-hours and emergency support

  • Excellent Customer Service work ethic

  • Work well in a team environment

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Excellent listening skills

  • Ability to write clearly and concisely

  • Proficiency with MS Offices applications
