Summary

The International Tax Senior is primarily responsible for supporting direct and indirect tax compliance responsibilities related to local country jurisdiction, tax accounting, and IRS reporting requirements. This position will work on multiple projects independently in support of Corporate Tax Department initiatives while producing accurate and timely results.

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

  • Prepares U.S. International tax filings (Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 5713, 1118, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8975 etc.) and disclosure statements related.

  • Works closely and provides information to our third-party providers in foreign jurisdiction for local compliance requirements (Canadian T2, KSA income tax return, Brazil social/income taxes).

  • Works closely with foreign controllers and foreign tax managers to assist and support any tax questions or issues.

  • Supports the implementation of Corptax international module and assists with setting up standardized workpapers and processes. This will include the automation of data load into Corptax International.

  • Assists with gathering, analyzing, and cleaning fixed asset data for select foreign operations in preparation for loading into fixed asset software.

  • Gathers data and information from accounting, treasury, commercial, and operations on intercompany transactions for transfer pricing documentation. Prepares and reviews transfer pricing workpapers (quarterly/annually).

  • Reviews financial statement information for the quarterly tax provision and assist in identifying potential Subpart F inclusions and GILTI planning opportunities. Analyzes entity ledgers for foreign tax credits and dividends for proper reporting and inclusion in the quarterly tax provision.

  • Adheres to the internal control processes in compliance with the Company’s Sarbanes Oxley policies and procedures.

  • Utilizes project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • Understanding of US GAAP financial accounting

  • Proficient knowledge and experience with accounting for income taxes under ASC 740.

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the Company, with external consultants and taxing authorities

  • Ability to analyze and find solutions to difficult or complex issues while managing multiple projects concurrently with accuracy

  • Ability to mentor, train and develop staff

  • Ability to work effectively with accurate turnaround under tight timeframes

  • Ability to make sound decisions and solve complex problems under conditions of uncertainty and in situations with limited standardization and alignment

  • Ability to manage to completion multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and partner with other functional groups across the Company

  • Proven ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to complex issues

  • Demonstrates a passion for learning and a willingness to build new skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience with a national or regional accounting firm or in the tax department of an international, publicly traded corporation

  • Manufacturing and leasing experience

  • Proficiency with CorpTax Domestic and International

  • Experience with D365, Onestream, BNA, and advanced technology such as Alteryx or Power BI
