The Contract Administrator I will support the Contract Administration team, and work with other teams including Contract Billing, Customer Experience and Logistics, as well as the Insurance, Legal and Syndication departments. This role primarily includes reading and interpreting contracts, entering contractual requirements, car data and customer details into a database, tracking contract renewals, and running reports.
A successful candidate must be a self-starter, comfortable with prioritizing a high-volume workload, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable communicating by phone and email, with both internal and external customers, on a daily basis.
Read and interpret Lease, Purchase & Sale and Service Agreements
Set up and maintain contracts in the Agreements database.
Set up and maintain contacts in the Companies database.
Set up and maintain car info in the Car Edit database.
Track contracts from proposal through final documentation and review.
Track and communicate renewals, extensions, assignments and returns.
Upload signed legal documents and supporting documents to OnBase.
Work with other teams to research missing or conflicting information.
Provide updates and answer questions from internal and external customers.
Review contract insurance requirements and update insurance database.
Speedy and accurate data entry.
Accurate reading and analysis of lengthy legal documents.
Summarizing contractual requirements and communicating key points clearly.
Strong math skills and an understanding of basic accounting principles.
Adaptable to changing technology and able to learn new systems quickly.
Outstanding customer service skills, with internal and external customers.

Qualifications and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
A. or two years of experience in working with contracts preferred.
Work experience in the Rail Industry a plus.
Expertise in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and Teams.
Experience with Office365, OnBase, SharePoint, Iron Mountain preferred.
Typing/Data Entry (accurately type 70 words per minute).
