Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries and journal entry postings for various third party and joint venture contracts.
Perform general ledger reconciliations for various third party and joint venture financial accounts.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and operating reports for internal and external use by third party and joint venture participants. Prepare and distribute other contractually required reports.
Responsible for cash management of various third party and joint venture customers, including forecasting and financial modeling. Additionally, prepare required cash reports, payment instructions for cash distribution, and delivery of instructions to bank trustees for action.
Maintain compliance calendar detailing cash management, accounting, and reporting requirements.
Perform ad hoc requests, field questions, and projects assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
3+ years of experience in public accounting or private industry
Advanced Excel and Word skills required
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles required
CPA or CPA Candidate a plus
Experience in Epicor a plus
Lease accounting experience a plus
High level of accuracy, thorough and detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Strong analytical and organizational skills, must be able to understand complex transactions and issues with a demonstrated ability to think outside the box
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to deliver excellent customer service
Proven ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal direction, and the ability to interact confidently with external parties and leadership
Ability to read and comprehend legal documents (i.e. lease agreements)
Demonstrate ethical and moral behavior; unquestionable integrity and character
