SUMMARY

A Repair Coordinator is responsible for directly overseeing a specific production line. The Repair Coordinator is held accountable for the line's efficiency, paperwork, quality results, and billing.

Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities are listed below. Other duties may be assigned.

*Coordinate daily tasks to team to ensure the production line moves efficiently and safely.

*Ensure the accuracy of car billing by confirming that all repairs have been signed-off by operator and inspector, that all part numbers are included and correct and that all repairs are authorized by the customer.

*Complete inspections on in-process work to ensure GBW's quality process, hold points, and rework goals are achieved.

*Complete repairs on railcars, or assist other team members in completing railcar repairs, within defined efficiency and quality standards.

*Provide as needed training to less experienced team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

*Perform/ prioritize multiple tasks with attention to details.

*Ability to follow oral and written instructions including basic blue prints and schematics.

*Knowledge of FRA, AAR, industry and customer requirements.

*Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and teamwork.

*Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.

*Ability to obtain NDT certifications as needed for production area.

*Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including steel toed boots, goggles, ear plugs, gloves).

Education and Experience

*High School Diploma or equivalent

*One to three years' work-related experience preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions

With the exception of clerical, administrative, and some management positions, which require indoor work, the physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid and dusty conditions.
